Welcome to DuckieRPG, a game where absolutely nothing is wrong! So, pray tell, what exactly is it about? From whence did it originate? Why doth I speaketh in Old English? Just dive on deeper and learn about my little project!

Up there, that image. It's literally the only one on my computer I have of DuckieRPG's origin, with the exception of another image I'll put at the end of this post. Y'know, for incentive to either read or be a dirty cheater and spoil it all. And, yes, DuckieRPG started in Minecraft.

Now, it may look like an incomprehensible mass of random blocks, but it was our incomprehensible mass of random blocks. That, dear readers, in the background is the marvelous Fort Duckie that some of my friends had built and I had joined in later. And that is where it all began. We did the wildest, weirdest stuff there and built the downright strangest things.

One day, elsewhere on the server, they started building a little Mario RPG, and I thought that it would be fun to go to the area near Fort Duckie, named DuckieLand, and build another RPG on the server. A Duckie RPG. Now, a couple of years prior, I had obtained a fancy little software called RPGMaker MV. So, for a while I built DuckieRPG on the server, however, I eventually decided to make it into a real game with the help of RPGMaker. And that's how it all happened. Of course, there have been many changes to the story and other things, but that's the gist of it.

So, what exactly is the game about, though? The short answer is the following: One bad boi named Alburb is the last of his race, the Nomians, who were notorious for once enslaving all of the other races on Domran, and because of this reputation, he was driven out of Duckieland when he was searching for refuge and has now found it appropriate to appoint himself as "the Mage King" and do Duckie genocide. Don't be like Alburb, kids. So, now that Alburb is doing no-no's, you, playing as the heroic Derf, must find him and beat the snot out of him. Y'know, normal RPG activities. Congratulations, if you want, you can skip to the bottom, unless you want the bigger picture story.

So, bigger picture story time! Yay lore dumps! Basically, a long, long time ago, the Nomians were a prosperous race. However, one day whilst constructing a temple to Kilynsyk, a being they viewed as a deity, they unleashed a horrible evil: the Auxis. After a brief reign of terror, the Mage Hero sealed it away and locked its seal away in a labyrinth. However, this wouldn't be the end. There was a prophecy. It spoke that one day, the Auxis would be released again, and would only be destroyed for good by three heroes, described as the Mage's Heir, the Hero-Vessel, and the Prince from Above.

Many years have passed and the Auxis has faded away into Nomian legend. Speaking of the Nomians, they have been nearly wiped out in a civil war, with the lich Chillias at the head of it all. Eventually, the mage Alburb and his non-Nomian companions sealed Chillias away in his frozen palace, however, Alburb had been left without a home. He went to try to settle in Duckieland, but the inhabitants heard rumors of war and quickly drove him, along with his three companions, out. He returned to his desert homeland and met someone strange who led him through an ancient labyrinth where they released the Auxis who took possession of Alburb and the life of one of his companions.

Now tainted by this evil and strengthened by its powers, Alburb attempts to wipe the Duckies from the face of Domran. You enter into the Vessel, Derf, and must stop Alburb in the first of the planned DuckieRPG quartet. On your way, you'll meet a strange cast of characters, uncover ancient mysteries, and explore a strange world where ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS WRONG. Just one thing: beware those who see in red and blue.

Hey, look, I kept it to three paragraphs! Yippee!

Welp, there it is! Your reward! Disapproving Wario. Anyhow, see you around! Hope you enjoy the game!
